Restart is a GE India wide initiative aimed at integrating women, who have taken a career break, back into the work force by hiring them as full time employees. It is a step towards building a diverse talent pool. In the last four years, GE has hired 35 'Restart' women.
This is aimed at women who have worked for atleast 4 years in the past (with any company), and have taken a career break of at least a year, and are eager to get back to work. Opportunities are available for professionals in several functions: Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Services, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Technology, Engineering and IT, across all businesses, all over GE India.
RESTART offers various opportunities for professionals in several functions as listed under the open jobs on GE India website. Sources of hiring include employee referral program, social media handles, P.Inc. initiative by TOI and partnership with specialized agencies.
Each RESTART hire is given a support system to help develop skills and have a smooth transition back to work.
